The
Silver City Association has reached an agreement with British
Airways to place its extensive collection of historical documents,

and other parts of the Britavia organisation in the care of
the BA Speedbird Centre at BA's Waterside head offices near
London Heathrow Airport.
Association
Chairman Paul Ross said: "We are very excited that our
collection has found such a good home where it will help to
tell the story of post-war British civil aviation and where
the material will be conserved, catalogued and made available
to researchers."
Jim
Davies of the BA Speedbird Centre said: "We are delighted
to hold the Silver City material in our archive here at Waterside,
where it will be accessible to researchers and others interested
in studying what was a pioneering and innovative airline."
