Welcome to the Silver City Association website. Here you will find information about Silver City Airways and its associated companies, the aircraft they operated and the people who flew and maintained them.

Our aim is to update the site on a regular basis, adding new information and photographs.

Did you work for Silver City or one of its associated companies? Or did you take your car across the Channel on the Air Ferry service? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Want to know more - then why not join the Association? Go to our Membership page to download an application form. Membership is open to anyone interested in the Silver City story and involves a one-off payment of just £10!

This website is sponsored by Steve Hogarth in memory of his late father, Captain George Hogarth, who was Silver City's Chief Pilot at Southampton and Hurn and was tragically killed when Superfreighter G-ANWL crashed on landing at Guernsey on 1 November 1961.

-- 2022 Reunion News --

The 2022 Reunion will be on Saturday, 16th July.

Unfortunately, due to changes at Lydd Airport, it will not be possible to hold our Reunion in the airport’s Biggles Bar. Instead, we will be holding it at Lydd Golf Club, which is next door to the airport.

There will be no charge for this year’s event but members who plan to come are asked to contact Sally Maycock on secretary@silvercityairways.com so that we have an idea of numbers.
